Physiotherapy Treatment for Back Pain

Back pain is caused by many factors, including poor posture, associated with muscle imbalance and weak core muscular control. Inappropriate use of the back can also lead to pain (e.g. poor lifting technique).

In treating the problem, it is important to address all factors. So, we would undertake a detailed examination to formulate a treatment package. This might include joint mobilisation or manipulation, an exercise programme to improve strength, stability and posture, and pain relief techniques including electrotherapy devices, and possibly acupuncture.
